The House Oversight Committee has made public a set of around 70 images obtained from the property of late adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of disclosure from a cache of over 95,000 images the panel has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It features images of excerpts from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and censored photos of female overseas passports.

This action occurs just hours before the December 19th cut-off for the DOJ to release every documents associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These latest photographs bring up additional queries about exactly what the DOJ has in its possession," said the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Images Released

A number of the photographs made public on Thursday show Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates standing alongside a female whose face is redacted; Steve Bannon positioned at a desk across from Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest high-net-worth, powerful figures to be seen in Epstein estate photos released by the committee - previously disclosed images also show US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the images is is not considered evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the featured men have said they were never participating in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a statement issued alongside the photo release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not provide background information or timings for the images.

"Photographs were chosen to furnish the general populace with transparency into a illustrative selection of the photos acquired from the property, and to provide understanding into Epstein's associates and his profoundly alarming behavior," the announcement reads.

The publication also contains multiple photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita written in ink across several locations of a female's body, including her chest, foot, pelvis, and back. Lolita tells the tale of a adolescent who was groomed by a older literature professor.

A particular excerpt from the novel scrawled across a woman's upper body says, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a collection of images of women's identification and official papers from countries around the world, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the data on the papers, including identities and DOBs, is obscured but the panel said in a statement that the passports belong to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were involved with".

Another photograph depicts Epstein seated at a workstation closely flanked by three individuals whose identities have been redacted - one individual has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and a second is bending to examine a nearby device. Epstein can be seen to be aiding the final person attach a wristband.

An additional photograph released is a capture of SMS messages from an unknown sender who claims they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are requesting "$1000 per female".

Photograph Publication Occurs Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of photos in its possession from the Epstein estate, which are "simultaneously graphic and everyday," its press release on Thursday noted.

The House Oversight Committee first subpoenaed the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and records the Epstein property gave to the panel are separate from what is commonly called "Epstein-related records". Those are records in the Department of Justice's possession related to its independent investigation into Epstein.

Under the Transparency Act, which Donald Trump made law in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to release its documents. The scope of what is contained in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's expected that much of the information will be heavily redacted, akin to House Oversight Committee documents
