Having scored more than 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for Germany. This signing is viewed as a major signing for the WSL side. Her exit from Munich was expected since she was seen fighting back tears while thanking the club's fans after a win over Bayer Leverkusen this month. It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its leading strikers. Per reports, the formalities for the move have now been completed. Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen the Attack The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a significant boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably reliable in front of goal in the Bundesliga. For seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-digit tally of league goals. She won the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Building Steam at Old Trafford Securing Schüller’s signature comes at a time when the club seem to be building positive momentum. Recent on-pitch successes feature qualifying for the European knockout phase playoffs as a seeded team and a victory in the League Cup quarter-finals. In the transfer market, the mid-season window has seen additional business: The acquisition of Swedish defender Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The new deal for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who has become popular figure since joining in 2023. On Miyazawa’s extension, a senior figure stated: “Miyazawa is now a critical component to the way we play. Her footballing intelligence and skill enables her and the team to control and dictate play from central areas.” Lundkvist, who has arrived from a side from the NWSL, said: “You can feel how much they [United] have grown in the last few years, competing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the top European competition.”
