Ways the Broncos together with the 'play-dough' quarterback could halt the Chiefs' reign.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes live text for Sunday's games on various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through designated networks covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week of the football calendar , following last week's talk regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Notable during those contests was the amount of penalties each committed. Philadelphia committed them at crucial times so they kind of defeated themselves after leading 17-3 going into the final quarter against Denver, set to play in London this weekend.

But it proved good to see that Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to overcome that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the victory by four points.

Denver boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that battle.

They executed effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They did not always rushing more than four pass rushers but they could position two linebackers in the interior then drop them out and send a slot defender from the outside.

At the start of the season, we said during a show how the Broncos might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They ended the previous year well then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired tight end Evan Engram has stepped up significantly while new RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks 5th in the NFL for rushing yards (over 400) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (4).

I love how the coach Sean Payton displays "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates how the Broncos represent a team that wants to run first, because you can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes and keeps you in favourable down and distances.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick last year, passing for 29 TDs – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to pass all over, however they don't move the mobility that Nix has. He has incredible passing ability, which is different, plus he's so athletic.

His assets include his movement, the capacity to pass on the run, as well as using varied release points to deliver throws as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can deliver precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays a lot of composure in the pocket and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack as much as possible and can throw under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.

If you constantly run the ball it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defence has to defend the field downfield and horizontally. It can be draining.

Nix has bitten back at Payton on the sideline at times and I think Payton appreciates that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for him to coach a rookie QB who's similar to moldable clay. The coach can truly build something up the way he wants to shape him. I believe it's a special experience for him.

The head coach has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the achievements Denver are having on offence is largely down to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix helps make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you through difficult moments and build self-belief.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they strong enough to go against a top squad at its best? Because that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Currently, it's unlikely Denver are incredible. They're working better than most, which is a solid position to hold the AFC West. The key to do to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their forte, that is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground per game (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (10th worst), and they're the only team without a win a game.

Ever since the league began tracking turnovers in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to be without a single takeaway in five outings, which is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

After this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the division.

It depends upon which form Kansas City shows up they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
